About The Position
This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide high-quality, urgent care in a dynamic emergency department setting. In this role, you will deliver immediate medical attention to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. The position requires a commitment to clinical excellence and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced medical environment.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in Washington State
- DEA license and BLS/ACLS certification
- Associate-level experience in an emergency or acute care setting
- Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Must be board-certified
- Additional Required Certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, BLS and DEA
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate diagnosis and treatment for patients with acute injuries or illnesses
- Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, blood work, and EKGs
- Stabilize patients in critical condition and manage emergency medical situations
- Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies
- Collaborate with consulting specialists and nursing staff regarding patient care plans
- Document all patient encounters accurately in electronic medical records
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Emergency Department
