About The Position

Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Current, unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Active DEA registration and ability to prescribe controlled substances
- Minimum of 1–2 years of psychiatric clinical experience, including residency training
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatments
- Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and telepsychiatry tools (if applicable)
- Commitment to providing culturally competent, patient-centered care
- Malpractice insurance coverage (or ability to obtain it for the assignment)
Nice To Haves
- Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry is strongly preferred
- Must be board-certified
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for adult patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management
- Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed
- Collaborate with primary care providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in on-site care team meetings and case consultations
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric consultations when required
- Ensure compliance with all medical, legal, and ethical standards in psychiatric practice
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the practice
