About The Position

This is an on-site, contract position tailored for an associate-level psychiatrist seeking to provide high-quality psychiatric care in a dynamic clinical environment. As part of our Psychiatry department, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive psychiatric services, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for a diverse patient population. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing accessible and effective mental health care within the community.

Requirements

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry
Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state where the position is located
Experience at the associate level in psychiatric care, with a track record of providing quality patient care
Strong clinical skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical documentation
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to mental health care
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical medical practices
Flexibility to work under a contract arrangement, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced medical practice environment
Active DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one for prescribing purposes

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of patients presenting with mental health concerns
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based guidelines
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatments as necessary
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
Provide consultation to primary care providers or other health professionals regarding psychiatric cases
Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing psychiatric services
Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources
Maintain compliance with all applicable medical regulations, ethical standards, and practice policies
Stay current with advances in psychiatric research, treatments, and best practices via continuous learning
