About The Position

Provide locum inpatient cardiology coverage at a well-respected hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. The practice primarily focuses on inpatient care, with support from fellow cardiologists during shifts. The role includes responding to cardiology calls, conducting general cardiology consultations, performing interventional procedures, and interpreting diagnostic studies. Availability is needed for 3–7 days per month, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Requirements

• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology.
• Active Kentucky medical license and DEA registration.
• ACLS certification.
• Availability for 3–7 days per month, including weekends and on-call shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• COVID vaccine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient coverage and respond to all cardiology calls.
• Conduct general cardiology consultations as needed.
• Perform balloon angioplasties, coronary angioplasty, percutaneous coronary interventions, heart catheterizations, and coronary angiograms.
• Read and interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, and nuclear stress tests.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
