About The Position

The Location Manager provides operational oversight and day-to-day management, directly supervising staff and financial performance. The role reflects First Student’s commitment to safety and customer service and requires English proficiency for job-related training, safety communications, policies, employment documents, and other communications.

Requirements

• A four-year degree or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Business background in financial, strategic, and/or organizational analysis.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational expenses and explain budget variances.
• Manage injury and collision claims.
• Ensure employees follow safety practices and applicable regulations.
• Ensure facilities and buses are maintained to First Student safety and environmental standards.
• Set accurate schedules for routes.
• Minimize route drive times and mileage while adhering to contractual and regulatory mandates.
• Provide accurate and timely operational and financial reporting as requested by the AGM and/or finance.
• Ensure purchases follow company processes and policies.
• Drive employee engagement and recognition.
• Directly supervise staff and oversee financial performance.
