About The Position

At First Student, the Location Manager reflects the company's commitment to safety and customer service. The role provides operational oversight and day-to-day management, including direct supervision of staff and responsibility for financial performance. The manager supports safe, dependable student and passenger transportation and maintains operations in accordance with company standards, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday on the day shift. Salary is up to $75,000 per year based on experience, with a yearly bonus of up to 20% of salary based on location success metrics. Requirements

A four-year degree or equivalent.
At least three years of management experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
A business background in financial, strategic, and/or organizational analysis.
English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Manage operational expenses and explain budget variances.
Manage injury and collision claims.
Ensure all employees follow safety practices and applicable regulations.
Ensure facilities and buses are maintained to First Student safety and environmental standards.
Set accurate route schedules.
Minimize route drive times and mileage while adhering to contractual and regulatory mandates.
Provide accurate and timely operational and financial reporting as requested by the AGM and/or finance.
Ensure purchases follow company processes and policies.
Drive employee engagement and recognition.
