About The Position

First Student is hiring a Location Manager to provide operational oversight and day-to-day management of its location serving Scottsbluff and Gering. The role directly supervises staff and oversees the location’s financial performance, while reflecting the company’s commitment to safety and customer service. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the day shift.

Requirements

• Four-year degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of management experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Business background in financial, strategic, and/or organizational analysis.
• English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational expenses and explain budget variances.
• Manage injury and collision claims.
• Ensure employees follow safety practices and applicable regulations.
• Ensure facilities and buses are maintained to First Student safety and environmental standards.
• Set accurate schedules for routes.
• Minimize route drive times and mileage while adhering to contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Provide accurate and timely operational and financial reporting as requested by the AGM and/or finance.
• Ensure purchases follow company processes and policies.
• Promote employee engagement and recognition.
