About The Position

The Location Control Supervisor drives warehouse accuracy, flow, and efficiency through proactive management of inventory locations, slotting strategy, and WMS integrity. The role connects inventory control, receiving, and picking operations, ensuring that SKUs are positioned for accessibility, accuracy, and throughput. It combines system analysis, floor execution, and continuous improvement to support an organized, data-driven distribution center.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), slotting logic, and inventory control practices.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to coach, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams.
Analytical mindset and proficiency in Excel and data-driven decision-making.
Experience with warehouse automation tools such as Cubiscan, barcode scanners, and RF systems.
Ability to design and implement sustainable process changes, with a continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented, organized, and self-directed, with a passion for operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Supervise the replenishment team and ensure replenishment is completed before the picking cycle begins.
Oversee product location assignments and movements to maintain proper slotting, accessibility, and warehouse flow.
Analyze WMS data to identify inefficiencies, mis-slotted SKUs, and flow disruptions, and develop corrective action plans.
Partner with inbound and outbound teams to ensure products are replenished to the correct pick locations.
Collaborate with receiving to establish slotting and labeling standards that improve visibility and speed.
Use the Cubiscan system to collect product dimensions, weights, and data for improved automation and WMS optimization.
Work with the Operations Manager, Director of Operations, and corporate leadership on warehouse layout and process improvement projects aligned with company-wide goals.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify process gaps, develop SOPs, and implement best practices that deliver measurable results.
Serve as the WMS subject-matter expert and primary contact for location accuracy, bin logic, and product flow.
Generate performance reports on location accuracy, SKU velocity, and layout efficiency metrics.
