About the position
The Localization Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and high-quality translation of KnowBe4's content into multiple languages. They collaborate with vendors and local resources to maintain quality assurance standards and provide training and guidance to staff involved in content production. Additionally, they conduct cultural reviews and contribute to process improvement. The minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and fluency in English and at least one additional language.
Responsibilities
- Perform review of localization work from vendors and local in-country resources to ensure accurate, high-quality, fully localized/translated content
- Coordinate with vendors and local offices to make sure KnowBe4 publishers adhere to set standards
- Periodic reviews of customer feedback with regard to the quality of content from users outside of the US
- Provide training and guidance to KnowBe4 staff/contractors who produce content in other languages and/or are localizing content
- Stay attune with and serves as a subject matter expert on cultural expectations of content for designated regions
- Perform cultural review of content and reviews feedback from customers regarding cultural feedback
- Contribute to continual improvement of our processes, quality and efficiency as we grow
- Maintain foreign language style guides
- Take an active role in creating and supporting content that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive as outlined in the KnowBe4 DEI statement
- Ensure content is Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) compliant so that our content is accessible to all users
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Language Studies, Cultural Anthropology, International Relations, Linguistics or related field/experience (Masters preferred)
- Ability to speak/read/write English and one additional language fluently; more languages a plus.
- Experience in performing review of localization work to ensure accurate, high-quality, fully localized/translated content
- Coordination with vendors and local offices to ensure adherence to set standards
- Periodic reviews of customer feedback regarding the quality of content from users outside of the US
- Providing training and guidance to staff/contractors producing content in other languages and/or localizing content
- Knowledge and expertise in cultural expectations of content for designated regions
- Cultural review of content and feedback analysis from customers
- Contribution to continual improvement of processes, quality, and efficiency
- Maintenance of foreign language style guides
- Familiarity with Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) compliance for accessible content.
