About The Position
Auto-Wares is seeking a dependable, high-energy, and detail-oriented Local Route Driver to support operations across multiple company locations. The role ensures accurate and timely delivery of automotive parts between facilities, helps maintain smooth logistics, and supports warehouse operations. The position starts and ends at the Bumper to Bumper Crystal Lake store in Crystal Lake, Illinois. A company vehicle and gas card are provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is a full-time position. Auto-Wares is a Midwest network of companies founded in 1976 and specializing in automotive parts distribution, product knowledge, and full-service programs.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, held for at least two years.
- No major driving violations.
- No more than two moving violations in the past three years if over age 25, or in the past five years if under age 25.
- No more than one at-fault accident.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using both arms.
- Ability to operate delivery vehicles safely.
- Comfort working in hot or cold environments.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Load, secure, and deliver parts between company stores, distribution centers, or warehouses.
- Support warehouse tasks.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance concerns.
- Handle returns and inventory transfers according to company procedures.
- Represent Auto-Wares professionally during internal interactions.
- Assist with other tasks as directed by warehouse or delivery managers.
