About The Position

Drives a light vehicle, such as a truck or van, delivering commercial equipment and furniture to accomplish move projects at offices, industrial sites, and laboratories. Transports items from origin to destination, participates in moving and packing work, and completes related documentation and vehicle inspections. Follows applicable vehicle safety laws and carries out activities assigned by Dispatch.

Requirements

• Active driver’s license.
• Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
• At least 1 year of experience driving a box or straight truck/commercial vehicle.
• Capable of lifting up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport commercial equipment and furniture from origin to destination.
• Inspect the truck for defects before and after trips and submit a report indicating the truck’s condition.
• Participate in moving materials, equipment, and furniture, and manage packing and crating of valuables and hard-to-move items.
• Complete paperwork accurately, secure signatures, collect payment, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain a clean driving record and abide by all laws governing vehicle safety.
• Execute activities assigned by Dispatch and immediately report routing or service changes encountered.
