Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)
About The Position
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is hiring a Local Delivery Driver in Cincinnati, Ohio. The driver delivers products to customers, typically making 10–12 stops per day. The role involves handling freight, completing delivery and pickup paperwork, accurately recording product quantities and styles, and providing excellent customer service. The driver also prepares hazardous-material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations, conducts and reports pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and identifies when vehicle repairs or maintenance are needed. The position requires building relationships with internal and external customers and continually developing knowledge of Linde’s business. The role is scheduled for first shift. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a truck driving school.
- Valid Class A or B CDL.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Current hazmat endorsement on CDL, or must obtain one within 60 days of hire.
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years.
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift at least 75 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products to customers, averaging 10–12 stops per day.
- Handle freight, complete paperwork, and provide excellent customer service.
- Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
- Complete hazardous-material shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Identify the need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business goals and customer needs.
- Continuously build knowledge of how Linde’s business operates and succeeds.
