About The Position

The Shuttle Driver delivers loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and returns empty trailers to the branch. The driver maintains delivery time windows, promptly communicates problems to a supervisor, and performs duties in accordance with company safety standards. The role represents Ben E. Keith professionally by maintaining a positive attitude and following dress-code and cleanliness standards.

Drivers use dash cameras that leverage artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, improve driver safety performance, and help exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.

Requirements

• Have a good driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
• Pass the required drug and physical screening.
• Have at least one year of DOT driving experience.
• Hold a valid state-issued Class A CDL with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
• Be able to operate or drive a single axle with 28-foot, 36-foot, and 48-foot trailers with tandem axle tractors.
• Have a high school diploma or GED; work experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and pick up empty trailers to return to the branch.
• Maintain delivery time windows.
• Immediately communicate problems to a supervisor.
• Perform duties according to company safety standards.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally, maintaining a positive attitude and following dress-code and cleanliness standards.
