Local Class A CDL Shuttle Doubles DOT
About The Position
The Shuttle Driver delivers loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and returns empty trailers to the branch. This is a night-shift position in Corpus Christi, Texas. Drivers must maintain delivery time windows, promptly communicate problems to a supervisor, and perform duties according to company safety standards. They are expected to represent Ben E. Keith professionally, maintain a positive attitude, and follow dress-code and cleanliness standards. Ben E. Keith uses dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve driver safety performance. Video may also be used to exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire acknowledging their understanding of this practice.
Requirements
- Have a good driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
- Pass the required drug and physical screening.
- Have at least one year of DOT driving experience.
- Hold a valid state-issued Class A CDL with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
- Be able to operate a single axle with 28-foot, 36-foot, and 48-foot trailers with tandem-axle tractors.
- Have a high school diploma or GED; work experience may be substituted for education.
