About The Position

The Shuttle Driver delivers loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and returns empty trailers to the branch. The driver maintains delivery time windows, promptly communicates problems to a supervisor, and performs duties in accordance with company safety standards. The driver represents Ben E. Keith professionally, maintaining a positive attitude and following dress-code and cleanliness standards. Drivers use dash cameras with artificial intelligence to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, and improve safety performance. Video may also be used to exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire to confirm their understanding.

Requirements

Good driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
Must pass required drug and physical screening.
At least one year of DOT driving experience.
Valid state-issued Class A CDL with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
Ability to operate a single axle with 28-foot, 36-foot, and 48-foot trailers with tandem axle tractors.
High school diploma or GED; work experience may be substituted for education.
Able to perform repetitive lifting of over 100 pounds.
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, feet, and legs.
Must be able to climb in and out of a truck and trailer.
Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
Must sign a driver consent form upon hire regarding the use of dash-camera video.
