About The Position

Ben E. Keith Company is hiring a Shuttle Doubles driver to transport loaded trailers from a branch to designated shuttle locations and return empty trailers to the branch for reloading. The role involves safely operating Class A commercial vehicles, meeting scheduled pickup and delivery times, inspecting vehicles before and after trips, promptly reporting issues or safety concerns, and following DOT and company safety requirements. Drivers represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and team members. This full-time opportunity offers predictable routes, regular time at home, and experience with trailer handling and transportation operations.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with at least one year of experience.
• Double/Triple endorsements and at least one year of experience.
• DOT qualified and able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Good driving record, with no more than one moving violation within the past three years.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background requirements.
• Ability to safely operate tractors with 28-foot, 36-foot, and 48-foot trailers.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Ability to frequently climb in and out of tractors and trailers.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to read route information, product descriptions, and safety documentation.
• Normal use of hands, arms, shoulders, legs, and feet to safely perform job duties.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; relevant work experience may be considered instead.

Responsibilities

• Transport loaded trailers from the branch to designated shuttle locations.
• Return empty trailers to the branch for reloading.
• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT and company regulations.
• Maintain scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Immediately communicate issues, delays, or safety concerns to management.
• Represent Ben E. Keith professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
