Local Class A CDL Shuttle Doubles DOT
About The Position
The Shuttle Driver delivers loaded trailers to the shuttle depot and returns empty trailers to the branch. The position is based in La Feria, Texas. Drivers are expected to meet delivery time windows, promptly communicate problems to their supervisor, and follow company safety standards. They represent Ben E. Keith professionally by maintaining a positive attitude and following dress-code and cleanliness standards. The company uses AI-enabled dash cameras to recognize safe driving, capture safety events, support driver safety performance, and help exonerate drivers in accidents. Drivers sign a consent form upon hire acknowledging their understanding of the camera system.
Requirements
- Have a good driving record, with no more than one moving violation in the past three years.
- Pass the required drug and physical screening.
- Have at least one year of DOT driving experience.
- Hold a valid state-issued Class A CDL with Double/Triple Trailer endorsements.
- Be able to operate or drive a single axle with 28-foot, 36-foot, and 48-foot trailers with tandem axle tractors.
- Have a high school diploma or GED; work experience may be substituted for education.
Responsibilities
