About The Position

Hiring Class A CDL truck drivers for local intermodal driving positions serving the Kansas City, Missouri, and Edgerton, Kansas areas. Drivers transport intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations throughout Kansas and Missouri. The position offers daily home time, no-touch freight, automatic trucks, and a limited-time $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible drivers. Five openings are currently available.

Drivers work night shifts on local routes and begin and end their shifts at designated locations in Kansas City, Missouri, or Edgerton, Kansas. Trucks remain at the terminal or rail facility during time off. Exact start times and scheduled workdays will be confirmed during the hiring process. Average weekly earnings are $1,350–$1,450, with average annual earnings of approximately $75,000. Actual earnings may vary based on assigned routes, workload, and applicable compensation terms.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
• Minimum 3 months of qualifying tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Reside within approximately 60 miles of Kansas City, MO 64106, or Edgerton, KS 66021.
• Be available to work night shifts.
• Be comfortable operating in rail-yard environments.
• Obtain a HazMat endorsement within 90 days of hire; expenses are reimbursable with qualifying receipts.
• Be willing to leave assigned equipment at the designated terminal or rail facility.
• Meet applicable DOT and company safety qualifications.
• No passengers or pets are permitted.
• SAP drivers are not eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

• Transport intermodal freight between rail yards and customer locations.
• Operate throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area and surrounding communities.
• Pick up and deliver intermodal containers at designated rail facilities.
• Complete assigned local deliveries safely and on schedule.
• Perform trailer connections and disconnections.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate transportation and delivery records.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding loads, delays, and equipment concerns.
• Follow DOT regulations, rail-yard procedures, and company safety requirements.
