About The Position

We are seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist who will play a vital role on the Loan Operations team, driving the success of the bank’s commercial and consumer loan portfolios after booking. You’ll be at the center of day-to-day servicing excellence—ensuring accuracy, strengthening compliance, and delivering a seamless experience for both internal partners and external clients. You’ll also work closely with Lending, Credit, Treasury, and other operational teams to support portfolio performance and scalable growth.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 2+ years of loan servicing or banking experience required.
  • Commercial loan experience & core systems preferred.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Commercial loan experience & core systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily loan transactions, including payments, principal and interest adjustments, advances, payoffs, and fees.
  • Maintain accurate and timely loan records within the core system.
  • Set up and manage automatic payments, rate changes (including variable rate loans), and payment schedules.
  • Prepare and process loan modifications, renewals, extensions, and restructures in line with approvals.
  • Monitor loan accounts for maturities, delinquencies, covenant tracking triggers, and servicing exceptions.
  • Proactively identify and resolve discrepancies to mitigate operational and compliance risk.
  • Perform quality control reviews and follow established servicing procedures and SLAs.
  • Support the internal controls framework, including dual control processes and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Generate and review servicing reports.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory exams.
  • Serve as primary contact for internal partners and clients on servicing-related inquiries.
  • Research and resolve complex servicing issues.
  • Provide timely, professional service aligned with client experience standards.
  • Support escrow administration and account balancing.
  • Coordinate collateral tracking and lien documentation.
  • Monitor insurance coverage and follow up on exceptions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Support system enhancements and conversions.
  • Adapt to evolving processes to support growth.
  • Adopt a commitment to environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.
  • Stay informed of applicable regulatory requirements and complete all mandatory compliance and IT training.
  • Pursue and demonstrate an understanding of established Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Question suspicious activity and collaborate closely with the respective department(s) to help prevent fraudulent activity.
