Loan Processor
About The Position
The Loan Processor creates loan documents for the loan processing department and uploads loan and new customer information to the bank’s core system. Documents are created for consumer, real estate, commercial, and secondary-market loans in a timely manner and in accordance with bank and regulatory guidelines. The role also supports document tracking, HMDA reporting, and flood program management. Southern Bank team members are expected to protect the confidentiality of customers’ non-public personal information and secure information systems in compliance with bank regulations. The bank emphasizes trust, service, collaboration, adaptability, applied learning, and quality in its work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Good interpersonal communication and computer skills.
- Strong typing skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience or job knowledge in loan processing or loan-related functions is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Create loan documents for consumer, real estate, commercial, and secondary-market loans according to bank and regulatory guidelines.
- Check that proper authority has been received before creating loan documents.
- Enter new loan and customer information into the core system.
- Maintain document tracking for certain loans.
- Enter HMDA information into the LAR.
- Assist with flood program management.
- Assist with miscellaneous other job duties.
- Protect the confidentiality of customer non-public personal information and secure information systems in compliance with bank regulations.
