About The Position

The Loan Processing Representative manages and facilitates loan applications from submission to approval. The role ensures documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards to support timely and efficient processing. It serves as a liaison among applicants, underwriters, and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and issues. Through careful recordkeeping and customer service, the representative supports smooth loan operations, minimizes processing delays, and contributes to client trust and satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in loan processing, banking, or financial services required.
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with loan processing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Experience with mortgage, personal, or commercial loan products.
• Familiarity with credit reporting and underwriting guidelines.
• Certification in loan processing or related financial services.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Customer service experience in a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with loan applicants to gather necessary information and clarify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with underwriters, loan officers, and other departments to facilitate loan approval.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations throughout the loan process.
• Maintain detailed loan records and regularly update loan tracking systems.
• Respond promptly to client and internal-team inquiries about loan status and documentation.
• Identify and resolve issues that may delay loan processing or approval.
• Assist in preparing loan packages for underwriting and closing.
