About The Position

The Loan Processing Clerk supports the bank’s loan operations by processing approved loans and renewals, maintaining loan files, and performing clerical duties related to loan processing. The role helps ensure loan documentation is accurate and complete and contributes to the efficiency of the loan department. Duties and responsibilities may change at any time, and additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Ability to manage relationships and resolve issues effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with financial products and basic advisory principles.

Nice To Haves

Relevant certifications, such as in financial services or customer service.
Previous banking and front-line experience.

Responsibilities

Process approved loans and renewals, and establish and maintain loan files.
Generate loan documents, disclosures, and customer communications for direct and indirect consumer loans.
Handle internal and external customer inquiries, research issues, and resolve them.
Process loan payments received through portals, by mail, and as returned items.
Verify user maintenance and review new loan setups for accuracy.
Complete paid loan reports and ensure the timely return of satisfied mortgages.
Clear collateral tracking exceptions, including vehicle titles, UCCs, mortgages, and title insurance.
Reconcile loan-related general ledger and bank accounts.
Process and balance TCM credit card payments.
Monitor force-placed flood and hazard insurance and track additional insurance requirements.
Coordinate the mailing of loan statements and documents.
Perform loan maintenance tasks and process floor plan transactions.
Recommend process improvements to the supervisor.
Participate in community affairs to enhance the bank’s visibility and business opportunities.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
