About The Position

Texell is hiring a Consumer Lending Consultant to work onsite at its Temple, Texas headquarters in a call center environment. The Lending Consultant builds relationships with members and originates consumer loans, including auto, recreational, consolidation, personal, and credit-card loans. Business is conducted by telephone, chat, text, and email. The role has monthly sales targets and offers uncapped monthly incentives. The employee ensures that all loan paperwork is complete and correct, with accuracy and attention to detail being imperative. The position involves weekday availability and rotating Saturdays; applicants with open availability are preferred.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of direct-to-consumer sales experience, including a high volume of inbound and outbound calls.
• At least 6 months of experience analyzing credit reports.
• Comfort with commission-based roles and aggressive sales targets.
• Strong understanding of consumer loan products and services, including auto, recreational, consolidation, personal, and credit-card products.
• Teamwork mentality and drive to work with others toward department and credit union goals.
• Availability to work during the week and on rotating Saturdays; open availability is preferred.
