About The Position

The Loader is responsible for loading, unloading, receiving, dispersing, and moving materials within or near a plant, yard, or work site. The role involves following pick tickets or oral instructions, fulfilling orders accurately, documenting quantities handled, and securing materials for transport. The Loader has no supervisory responsibility and may occasionally operate industrial trucks to assist with moving or loading materials.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Good oral communication skills and basic math skills.
Self-starter.
Ability to pass a background check with ATF.
Flexibility and ability to make decisions in the company's best interest.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Ability to lift 50–80 lbs.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on uneven, loose surfaces.
Ability to stoop and bend 60–70% of the time.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Receive and disperse supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Load and unload materials by hand onto or from pallets, trays, racks, or shelves.
Move materials between storage or work sites and designated areas using a hand truck, dolly, or other yard devices.
Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
Perform accurate order-fulfillment counts.
Count, weigh, and record the number of units moved or handled on the daily production sheet.
Lift heavy objects by hand or with a power hoist.
Clean work areas, machines, and equipment using a broom, rags, and cleaning compounds.
Occasionally operate industrial trucks to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Perform other duties as assigned.
