About The Position
US Foods is hiring a Night Warehouse Loader in Houston, Texas. The role loads outbound orders into designated tractor trailers according to company procedures and standards so that products are safely stowed and organized for efficient delivery. The position follows a Sunday-through-Thursday schedule, with one Friday every three weeks, and starts at 5:30 p.m. The listed pay rate is $28.50 per hour; the expected base rate range is $27.00–$28.50 per hour. Overtime compensation may also be available. Benefits begin on day one.
Requirements
- Pallet jack certification.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to read load diagrams.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Team-oriented and able to get along with others.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of warehouse experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers before loading to ensure they are clean, at the proper temperature, and ready for loading.
- Build pallets according to delivery stops and wrap them securely to prevent damage during transport.
- Verify pallet header labels and check products for damage or expiration before loading.
- Load trailers, place and secure bulkheads correctly, and complete and submit the load diagram.
- Follow safety work practices and keep the dock area clean and orderly.
