About The Position

The Loader Operator ensures installations perform according to existing procedures and policies, and monitors operations to help ensure delivery of a semi-finished or finished product that meets specifications. The role operates and maintains a loader safely, moves and loads materials for transport and production, tracks processed loads, and reports safety, contamination, and environmental concerns. The position is permanent and located in Delavan. Additional on-site training is required before operating specified vehicles at a Sibelco facility.

Requirements

• High school-level education or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Technical English proficiency sufficient to read and comprehend.
• Documentation and demonstrated ability to operate a front-end loader, forklift, electric pallet jack, hand-operated pallet jack, and other heavy machinery as required.
• Ability to complete additional on-site training before operating specified vehicles at an Sibelco facility.

Responsibilities

• Successfully complete training, including Sibelco safety standards and a demonstration of driving ability.
• Operate the loader using safe practices.
• Inspect the loader before the start of each shift and report unsafe issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on the loader.
• Fuel the loader using safe practices.
• Load trucks with material.
• Load hoppers with assigned production materials.
• Track the load count for each material processed.
• Move material to assigned bunkers or staging areas.
• Report incidents, accidents, and near misses to the shift supervisor.
• Identify possible cross-contamination issues in storage areas.
• Identify and report potential environmental hazards, including odors, litter, excessive bird presence, vermin, or leachate from storage and other yard areas.
• Wear appropriate site-specific personal protective equipment as required.
• Understand and follow company operating procedures and safety policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
