About The Position

This position is responsible for pulling and picking and loading outbound shipments, as well as unloading and moving inbound deliveries to the facility. The role operates a propane sit-down forklift and handles products throughout the shipping and receiving process. Work takes place in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including loading docks and driveways, and in all weather conditions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Motivation and a sound work ethic.
Demonstrated safe working practices and attention to detail.
Ability to work as a team player and follow instructions from management and peers.
Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
Ability to use measuring devices such as gauges, tapes, and rulers.
Strong problem-solving and math skills, including the ability to calculate square footage and batch size.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience in Shipping and Receiving.

Responsibilities

Operate a propane sit-down forklift.
Sort shipments by destination and group merchandise for inclusion in or fulfillment of orders.
Load finished materials for transport and unload raw materials.
Move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Inspect the forklift to identify repair needs and ensure safety.
Verify piece counts on each pallet against the label.
Handle materials and products.
Follow shipping work orders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
