About The Position

This position is responsible for pulling and picking and loading outbound shipments, as well as unloading and moving inbound deliveries to the facility. The role operates a propane sit-down forklift and handles products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including the loading dock and driveways, in all weather conditions. • Ability to learn and operate new equipment.
• Ability to use measuring devices such as gauges, tapes, and rulers.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills, including the ability to calculate square footage and batch size.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience in Shipping and Receiving is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a propane sit-down forklift.
• Sort shipments by destination and group merchandise for inclusion in or fulfillment of orders.
• Load finished materials for transport and unload raw materials.
• Move products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Inspect the forklift to identify repair needs and ensure safety.
• Verify piece counts on each pallet against the label.
• Handle materials and products.
• Follow shipping work orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
