About The Position

The Loader/Cart Associate provides customer service by helping customers locate, select, carry, load, and fulfill merchandise orders. The role supports checkout and general customer assistance, prepares orders, replenishes merchandise, collects carts, and maintains clean, organized, and safe areas inside the store and in the parking lot. Associates use store technology and power equipment as needed, follow safety procedures, and report hazards, theft, and security concerns. For Pro-focused loader duties, the associate supports Pro customers from arrival through order completion, assists with loading and order fulfillment, remains available in the Pro loading area, and helps maintain Pro Standards. The role also supports customer relationships and enrollment in MyLowe’s Pro Rewards and Pro Credit offerings. For Garden Center loader duties, the associate assists customers and associates with loading and completing orders, remains available in the Garden Center loading area, and partners with the Garden Center Department Supervisor to ensure orders are staged and ready for pickup. The role requires completing power equipment and spotter training and loading vehicles using appropriate techniques while maintaining order accuracy, product quality, and safety. The listed pay range is $15.16–$16.80 per hour. Starting pay may vary based on factors including position, location, education, training, and experience. Requirements

At least 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
At least 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of retail experience.
At least 6 months of experience as a Loader at a home improvement or hardware retailer.
At least 6 months of retail merchandising experience, including Zone Recovery, stocking, down stocking, facing/fronting product, pricing, maintaining signage, and housekeeping.
At least 6 months of experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material into or out of vehicles.

Responsibilities

Provide SMART customer service by following Lowe’s customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
Help customers locate, select, carry, and load merchandise, and respond promptly to customer and associate questions.
Support checkout, fulfillment, and customer assistance needs throughout the store.
Pull, stage, and prepare customer and contractor orders accurately and efficiently.
Use power equipment and store technology safely and effectively to move, stage, and load merchandise.
Maintain in-stock conditions by down stocking and replenishing merchandise as needed.
Support large order fulfillment while maintaining product quality and accuracy.
Collect carts and maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas inside the store and in the parking lot.
Identify and report safety hazards, theft, and security concerns to management and/or Asset Protection.
Operate store equipment as needed for the role and department, such as a Zebra phone, telephone, paging system, copier, computer, CCTV surveillance system, key cutter, panel saw, paint mixer, flooring cutter, or compactor baler.
Communicate stock, special-order merchandise, product features, applications, warranties, and Lowe’s program information to customers; answer questions and provide project guidance when needed.
Follow Lowe’s safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of power equipment, spotters, and safety devices.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
For Pro loader duties, support Pro customer relationships from arrival through order completion and proactively assist with loading, staging, and fulfillment.
Remain visible and available to customers in the Pro loading area, including under the Pro canopy, and respond quickly to loading requests.
Build relationships with repeat Pro customers and support enrollment in MyLowe’s Pro Rewards and Pro Credit offerings.
Maintain Pro Standards in the parking lot and under the Pro canopy.
Complete required power equipment and spotter training and load customer vehicles using appropriate techniques based on order size, weight, and fulfillment needs.
For Garden Center loader duties, assist customers and associates with loading products and completing orders, and remain available throughout the Garden Center loading area.
Support accurate, high-quality large orders while maintaining product accuracy and safety.
Partner with the Garden Center Department Supervisor to ensure customer orders are staged and ready for pickup.
