About The Position

The LM Kids Events Coordinator assists the LM Kids Leader and oversees events for LM Kids/Club 46 at the Church at Lake Mead. This seasonal, hourly position is scheduled for 15–22 hours per week and reports to the Discipleship Pastor or LM Kids Leader.

The coordinator plans and executes events and weekly activities for children and families, supports volunteers and the LM Kids team, and helps prepare and maintain LM Kids rooms, supplies, and toys. The role includes setup and teardown for Sunday gatherings and special events, preparing weekly crafts and games, coordinating monthly volunteer deep-cleaning days, and helping ensure that policies and procedures are followed.

The position requires a Christian faith and commitment to the ministry’s beliefs and mission, active participation in the Church at Lake Mead, and a Christ-centered example in interactions with children, families, volunteers, and church staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute LM Kids events, including Family/Kids Dedications, kids baptisms, Family Sundays, and special holiday events.
• Support administrative and planning needs for special events and work events from setup through teardown. Events include Easter Jam, Family Movie Night(s), Jingle Jamboree, and Quarterly Family Sunday.
• Participate in weekly setup and teardown for LM Kids Sunday morning gatherings.
• Prepare LM Kids rooms on Fridays, including door signs, gates, toy placement, free-play table items, lessons and props, and small-group activity needs.
• Plan and prepare weekly crafts and games, obtain necessary supplies, and communicate preparations to classroom leads and helpers.
• Keep LM Kids supplies and toys organized and notify the LM Kids Leader of supply or prop needs with three weeks’ notice.
• Manage deep cleaning of LM Kids toys and supplies by scheduling a monthly volunteer team day for each room.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers and assist the LM Kids team as needed.
• Ensure LM Kids policies and procedures are followed.
• Provide feedback to the LM Kids Leader and/or pastoral team.
• Seek God in prayer and pray on behalf of LM Kids families and children.
• Meet with church staff members or leaders for spiritual development and discipleship.
• Live as an example of following Christ and remain accountable to the church team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the LM Kids Leader.

Benefits

• Ministry scholarship for LMCA and Lil’ Eagles tuition: a minimum average of 20 hours of employment per week qualifies for a 20% scholarship, with an additional 5% for each subsequent year up to a maximum of 30%. Average hours must be maintained on an ongoing basis and are reviewed during the 60-day introductory period and annually.
