We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to impact someone’s life. This is a unique opportunity for a Live-in Direct Support Professional (DSP). You would be required to live with our person served. Here are a few perks to consider! Live-In DSP’s are provided a studio space with room and board at no cost! Live-In DSP’s would have their own separate living quarters within the home. You do have the ability to view your living quarters prior to move in contract completion. Your family may be allowed to move into the quarters with you! Hours worked would be part-time, including asleep overnight shifts. Paid hours are $18.50 hr. and would include awake hours only (avg. 29 hours weekly). Additional work hours may be available if interested!

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years of age
Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance & reliable transportation
Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Experience, training, or transferable skills that support success in a direct support role
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports

Responsibilities

Provide Hands-On Care: Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering independence.
Create a Safe & Welcoming Environment: Maintain a clean, safe space that ensures comfort and support while helping individuals reach their personal goals.
Mentor & Guide: Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations.
