About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Secretary to join our team in our Los Angeles office. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and has strong experience supporting attorneys in litigation matters.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation secretary or legal assistant
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems (California courts required)
  • Excellent typing, formatting, and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with legal case management software is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys in civil litigation matters
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and file legal documents (state and federal courts)
  • Manage court filings, including e-filing and calendaring deadlines
  • Maintain case files and organize legal documents
  • Coordinate attorney schedules, meetings, and court appearances
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with trial preparation, including binders and exhibits
