About The Position

Smith Debnam is seeking candidates for a full-time litigation associate position in our Charleston, SC office to assist in the representation of financial service providers and other businesses clients in matters related to foreclosure, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, real property, and compliance. Smith Debnam has been providing legal services to businesses and individuals in the Carolinas for 50 years. Our attorney development philosophy supports and encourages associate attorneys in building a practice with the goal of becoming a Partner in our Firm. Requirements

Entry-level through 5 years’ experience in private practice civil litigation
Valid SC Bar license
Strong legal analysis and writing skills.
Strong skills and experience in the courtroom.
Ability to effectively delegate to staff.

Nice To Haves

Dual NC Bar license a plus
2-4 years litigation experience in federal, state, and/or bankruptcy courts
Preference for in-office work environment
