About The Position
McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) is seeking Litigation Associate Attorneys to join its civil litigation team in Garden City, New York. Associates gain hands-on experience throughout all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial, and have direct client contact. The position offers a membership track with defined benchmarks, a formal mentorship structure, and hybrid work options depending on experience. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New York or have pending New York bar exam results. Compensation is $90,000–$150,000 annually, with monthly bonus opportunities; actual pay depends on experience and other job-related factors. The position also includes a full benefits package.

Responsibilities
- Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
- Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
- Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, and provide thorough reports.
- Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.
