About The Position

The Liquor Department Clerk supports the department by providing friendly, courteous customer service, maintaining an organized and clean area, and helping keep appropriate department records. The role promotes professional communication and positive working relationships throughout the store, follows company policies and directives, and sets a professional example for other team members. Duties may be expanded as management deems necessary. The position is part-time at Payson Market.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand spoken words to respond promptly to pages and requests from team members and guests.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and when helping resolve team member or guest concerns.
• Must be able to operate required equipment, including a pallet jack, forklift, box cutters, two-wheeler, six-wheeler, baler, and ladder.
• Certification is required to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack; other city, county, state, or federal certifications may also be required.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills preferred.
• High school diploma or GED, or related job experience and/or training, preferred.
• Previous stocking experience preferred.

• Exhibit and develop customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote high morale in the department and store through friendly, professional, honest, and open communication.
• Maintain good working relationships with other department managers to help improve storewide sales.
• Comply with company policies, programs, and directives specified in the Code of Conduct.
• Provide a professional example for other store team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized department that promotes a positive customer experience.
• Help maintain adequate and appropriate department records.
