About The Position

The Liquor Clerk stocks and receives cash from customers or associates in payment for goods and services, providing quick, friendly service and genuine customer care. The role includes stocking coolers, maintaining floors and displays, handling lottery inventory, cleaning and tagging shelves, organizing the work area, maintaining back stock, and helping prevent loss of liquor products. The clerk follows store, department, and safety policies and performs other duties as assigned. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position requirements may vary by store location.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Friendly demeanor and good smile.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of cash handling.
• Knowledge of products and care in handling products.
• High energy level and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or GED, one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and present information effectively in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, and sales per associate hour.

Responsibilities

• Stock coolers, maintain floors, and build displays.
• Handle daily and shift lottery inventory.
• Dust and clean shelves and hang tags.
• Keep the work area organized.
• Maintain back stock levels.
• Assist in preventing loss of liquor products.
• Follow all store and department policies and procedures.
• Follow safety policies and procedures and serve as a safety role model.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
