About The Position

This position involves performing all types of transmission and distribution pole line work. The role includes climbing poles, installing or maintaining crossarms, pins, insulators, wires, and cable, as well as transformers, cutouts, lightning arrestors, and related equipment. The Lineworker Apprentice will work on energized lines and equipment in accordance with Company's Distribution and/or Transmission Standards and Safety Regulations. This role also entails assuming responsibility for emergency duty with minimal supervision, directing the activities of lower-rated workers, and sharing standby requirements for the area. Additionally, the position requires preparing and maintaining necessary records and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must have passed the exam and be a qualified 1/C Line Worker.
• Must have a Class II driver's license and a good record of safe driving.
• Is subject to the Company random drug and alcohol testing policy.
• Must reside within an acceptable distance from headquarters and be available for emergency assignments.
• Must be capable of carrying out the essential functions of the classification.

Responsibilities

• Shares the standby requirements of the area.
• Prepares and keeps such records as may be necessary and performs other appropriate work as may be assigned.
