About The Position
The Linen Distribution Technician ensures linen carts are fully stocked, counts and records terry and linen inventory, and picks up soiled linen from hospital floors. The role serves Advocate IL Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. It is a full-time position scheduled from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM; rotating weekends may be required, and more details will be provided during the interview. Pay is $18 per hour.
Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pass a background check.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
- Deliver clean linen to hospital departments.
- Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
- Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
- Clean the linen room as necessary, including sweeping, mopping, and picking up.
- Align and stage carts as needed.
- Count and record terry and linen inventory.
