About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Linen Distribution Technician to operate linen room functions and distribute clean linen throughout a hospital facility. The position is located at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas. The schedule is 20 hours per week, generally from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with days that may vary and rotating weekends required. The pay range is $13.00 to $18.00 per hour. The technician delivers clean linen to hospital departments, handles linen orders and exchange carts, collects soiled linen, and keeps carts and the linen room organized. The role also includes inventory counting and recording, staging and preparing carts, opening new linen for processing, and cleaning the linen room as needed. Prior Environmental Services or linen services experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds and push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.
Ability to count and record inventory of terry and linen.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior Environmental Services (EVS) or linen services experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver clean linen to different hospital departments.
Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
Ensure exchange carts are delivered to the floors.
Ensure soiled linen is picked up and taken to the receiving dock.
Ensure soil carts are full and consolidate them when needed.
Report issues or concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Leave the linen room neat and organized at the end of the shift.
Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
Clean the linen room as necessary, including sweeping, mopping, and picking up.
Open new linen for processing.
Align and stage carts as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
