About The Position

The Linen Transporter ensures linen carts are fully stocked, counts and records terry and linen inventory, and picks up soiled linen from hospital floors. The role includes preparing and delivering clean linen, filling orders from hospital staff, and maintaining linen rooms and carts. The employee must follow Crothall Laundry Services policies, attendance and safety procedures, and universal precautions; maintain a neat uniform and professional, courteous manner; keep company equipment clean and organized; and report customer service or other problems to management.

Requirements

• Pass a background check.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Be able to push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and possibly holidays.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude and neat appearance.

Responsibilities

• Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
• Deliver clean linen to different hospital departments.
• Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
• Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
• Clean the linen room as necessary, including sweeping, mopping, and picking up.
• Open new linen for processing.
• Align and stage carts as needed.
• Count and record terry and linen inventory.
• Keep company equipment clean and organized and follow safety procedures and universal precautions.
• Report problems or issues related to customer service and satisfaction.
• Follow company policies and attendance requirements, maintain a neat uniform, and notify the manager when absent.
