About The Position

The Linen Distribution Tech, referred to in the description as a Linen Transporter, ensures linen carts are fully stocked and delivers clean linen to hospital departments. The role involves counting and recording terry and linen inventory, taking and filling orders from hospital staff, and picking up soiled linen from hospital floors. The employee also keeps linen rooms and company equipment clean and organized, follows company policies and safety procedures, and maintains a professional, courteous manner. The position requires schedule flexibility, including nights, weekends, and possibly holidays, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.

Requirements

Pass a background check.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull a wheeled cart weighing 650 pounds.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and possibly holidays.

Responsibilities

Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
Deliver clean linen to different hospital departments.
Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
Clean the linen room as necessary, including sweeping, mopping, and picking up.
Open new linen for processing.
Align and stage carts as needed.
Count and record terry and linen inventory.
Keep company equipment clean and organized.
Follow company policies, attendance requirements, safety procedures, and universal precautions.
Report customer service or satisfaction problems and issues.
Maintain a neat appearance, wear a uniform, and act professionally and courteously.
