About The Position

Healthcare Linen Services Group is hiring Linen Technicians to work at Corewell Farmington in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The role provides timely, professional linen service by filling and moving linen carts to assigned areas throughout the hospital, while meeting established quality and safety standards. Technicians help ensure hospital staff have clean linen for patient care. This active, hands-on position involves extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting, and pushing and pulling heavy linen carts. The listed shifts are first shift, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM, and second shift, 1:30 PM–10:00 PM. Work may continue past the scheduled shift when transportation or facility needs arise. Employees may also cross-train in other positions based on facility needs.

Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours a day.
Ability to push and pull clean and soiled linen carts weighing up to 800 pounds on wheels.
Sufficient manual dexterity to build and organize linen carts.
Ability to consistently perform physical movements including bending, twisting, and pulling.
Ability to accurately perform simple mathematics.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and function as part of a team.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
