About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a part-time Linen Distribution Technician at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock in Little Rock, Arkansas. The role operates linen room functions and distributes clean linen throughout the facility as scheduled. The schedule is 20 hours per week, with days varying from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Rotating weekends are required. Pay ranges from $13.00 to $18.00 per hour. The technician delivers clean linen to hospital departments, handles linen orders, maintains exchange carts and soiled-linen collection, and keeps the linen room clean and organized. The role also involves preparing carts to standard par levels, opening new linen for processing, staging carts, and reporting issues to a supervisor. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling wheeled carts weighing up to 650 pounds. Prior EVS or linen services experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull a wheeled cart weighing up to 650 pounds.
Ability to count and record inventory of terry and linen.
Excellent problem-solving and customer-service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced health care environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior Environmental Services (EVS) or linen services experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Deliver clean linen to different hospital departments.
Pick up soiled carts from all floors when working the second shift.
Take and fill orders from hospital staff.
Ensure exchange carts are delivered to the floors.
Ensure soiled linen is picked up and taken to the receiving dock.
Ensure soiled carts are full and consolidate them when needed.
Report issues or concerns to a supervisor immediately.
Leave the linen room neat and organized at the end of the shift.
Build clean, neat, organized carts to the standard par level.
Clean the linen room as necessary, including sweeping, mopping, and picking up.
Open new linen for processing.
Align and stage carts as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
