About The Position

As a Linehaul Driver, you will transport freight between Southeastern’s Service Center or designated points in between. You will operate a tractor-trailer combination, single or double, in urban, suburban, and rural areas and in all types of weather conditions. You will receive and verify dispatch instructions and verify loads against shipping documents. When hauling hazardous materials, you will verify product descriptions, identify discrepancies in paperwork, and confirm proper placarding. All duties must be performed in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Satisfactorily pass a background check.
• Satisfactorily pass an alcohol and drug test.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with Hazmat, Tanker, and Doubles/Triples endorsements.
• Be able to read, comprehend, and write in English and perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Have the mental ability to handle receipts, read maps and road signs, and maintain a maintenance log.
• Meet DOT regulations and guidelines for the physical qualifications of commercial drivers.
