About The Position

CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking a safety-conscious Class A Linehaul Driver based in Des Moines, Iowa. The role transfers freight between specified customer and terminal locations in a timely manner, hooks and unhooks commercial trailers, and completes paperwork required by government regulations and company procedures. The route runs from Des Moines, Iowa, to Kansas City, Kansas. Drivers are home daily and have weekends off.

Requirements

• Hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least one year of commercial driving experience.
• Have no DUI or DWI convictions in the past three years.
• Have no more than three traffic violations in the past three years.
• Have a Doubles endorsement.
• Have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Hook up and haul trailers between customer and terminal locations as instructed by dispatch or an immediate supervisor.
• Ensure shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipments to their delivery points.
• Operate a tractor-trailer combination for extended periods over long distances.
• Complete required government and company paperwork.
