About The Position
The Production Team Member assists with packaging products on the production line. The role includes handling and inspecting products, operating basic production equipment under supervision, and supporting line set-ups and change-overs. The employee monitors food quality, safety, and facility security and completes applicable HACCP, quality, and production documentation.
Requirements
- Must be forklift qualified; training is available.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- May be required to stoop or climb as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper packaging, coding, labeling, and pallet configuration of shipments.
- Dump, pack, stack, and inspect items along a production line.
- Operate simple production line equipment with supervision.
- Operate date coders and labelers.
- Assist with line change-overs and set-ups.
- Monitor and report food quality and safety issues.
- Continually monitor the facility for security measures or breaches.
- Act safely and advise supervisors of safety issues.
- Complete all applicable HACCP, quality, and production documentation.
- Assist other departments as necessary.
