About The Position
John F. Martin & Sons, LLC, is a third-generation, family-owned manufacturer and distributor of meat and cheese products. The Line Worker works as a meat packaging laborer in a fast-paced production environment, performing manual labor related to packaging various meat products. Workers may be asked to assist departments outside their primary department as needed. All employees are required to work safely. Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice.
Requirements
- Frequently lift 30–40 pounds and push or pull fully loaded meat cages and product bins.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Understand health and safety practices and basic hygiene rules.
- Use observation skills to spot problems with produce.
- Maintain concentration while performing repetitive tasks.
- Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Be willing to work flexibly.
Responsibilities
- Mark product bins, cages, and carts with identifying code information.
- Document production-related activities in the Product Traceability Computer System.
- Keep the work area neat, clean, and free of hazards.
- Assist other departments when and where help is required.
- Follow instructions and procedures and work safely.
