About The Position

The Line Worker feeds cheese onto a production line for wrapping and packaging, weighs and packs products, inspects packages, and operates packaging equipment. The position follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF requirements, and established safety rules. Work is performed inside a clean, air-controlled manufacturing environment. The posting describes first-, second-, and third-shift schedules; the listed role is for second shift in Booneville, Mississippi. Saturday hours may depend on production and staffing needs. Work in excess of eight hours in a workday or 40 straight-time hours in a workweek is compensated at one and one-half times the straight-time rate.

Requirements

• Able to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 45 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Prior manufacturing and/or packaging experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Feed cheese onto the production line for wrapping and packaging.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, SQF requirements, and established safety rules and regulations.
• Set up and operate scales to weigh products for packaging.
• Pack cheese products into boxes, stack boxes on pallets, and inspect packages and boxes for good seals and code dates.
• Use box-erecting, case-sealing, and labeling equipment.
• Sanitize the work area and equipment as needed.
