About The Position
The Line Service Technician represents Ascension FBO in a positive and professional manner while providing ground services to aircraft customers. Performance is evaluated primarily on operating safely in accordance with established procedures and creating a positive customer experience. The role provides ground support to arriving and departing aircraft and customer service to crew members and passengers. Work is outdoors and may involve extreme temperatures and inclement weather. The stated schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some weekends on call.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Excellent customer relation skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write legibly.
- Basic math skills.
- Valid state driver’s license, which must be maintained.
- May be required to maintain a valid state commercial driver’s license (CDL) and certification requirements for operating material handling equipment, as necessary.
- Stable job history.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
- Excellent vision and coordination to move or direct fuel trucks and hoses.
- Physical ability to frequently walk, stretch, bend, sit, stoop, reach, grasp, and climb.
- Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Participate in new-hire and recurrent training.
- Conduct operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain high levels of safety and customer service, and treat others with courtesy and respect.
- Fuel and tow aircraft, wing walk, and provide general ground support in accordance with established procedures.
- Marshal and greet aircraft professionally and in a friendly manner.
- Periodically inspect equipment and facilities and document findings.
- Keep the ramp, facilities, and hangars clean and organized and free of debris and clutter.
- Communicate customer feedback to appropriate Ascension FBO personnel.
- Perform lawn care and janitorial services as assigned.
- Immediately report safety incidents or hazards to appropriate management.
- Initiate emergency and incident response procedures as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
