Main Line Service Technician
About The Position
Keyes Hyundai of Van Nuys is hiring a Main Line Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicle concerns and perform complex maintenance and repairs in a dealership environment. The technician performs work to manufacturer and dealership standards, completes vehicle inspections, identifies needed maintenance and repairs, and communicates vehicle conditions and repair needs to Service Advisors. The position is paid at a flat rate and may be eligible for short- and/or long-term incentives, including bonuses based on production productivity. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and physical location, with final compensation established through the interview process. The role requires a high school graduate or equivalent and applicants to be at least 18 years old. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. Requirements
- At least 2 years of prior automotive or service technician experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving record.
- Appropriate technician tools to perform assigned work.
Nice To Haves
- Hyundai or other dealership/OEM experience.
- Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and repair information systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
- Perform complex maintenance and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Complete vehicle inspections and identify necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Perform engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and electrical repairs based on experience and qualifications.
- Communicate with Service Advisors regarding vehicle conditions and repair needs.
